The economy of the future is circular. It imposes a new economic, social, and cultural model that offers an alternative for businesses in order to harmonize their need for growth with the pressure of resource limitations and environmental preservation. The concept is not only about waste and recycling, it is about moving from efficiency to effectiveness, and creating new opportunities for growth.

Moving away from the linear “take–make–dispose” to a more circular approach of “reduce, reuse, recycle” in production requires us to rethink development and create new incentives, so that value is retained, waste is avoided as much as possible, and materials are re-circulated within the system.
