Our commitment to sustainable development goals

Between 2000 and 2016, the number of people with electricity increased from 78 to 87 percent, and the numbers without electricity dipped to just below one billion.

Over the past 25 years the number of workers living in extreme poverty has declined dramatically, despite the lasting impact of the 2008 economic crisis and global recession.

With over half the world population now living in cities, mass transport and renewable energy are becoming ever more important, as are the growth of new industries and information and communication technologies.

Achieving economic growth and sustainable development requires that we urgently reduce our ecological footprint by changing the way we produce and consume goods and resources.

Global warming is causing long-lasting changes to our climate system, which threatens irreversible consequences if we do not act.

NAŠA POSVEĆENOST CILJEVIMA ODRŽIVOG RAZVOJA

Između 2000. i 2016. godine, broj ljudi snabdjevenih električnom energijom porastao je sa 78 na 87 %, dok je broj ljudi bez električne energije pao na nešto ispod milijardu.

U poslednjih 25 godina broj radnika koji žive u uslovima ekstremnog siromaštva dramatično je opao, uprkos trajnom uticaju ekonomske krize iz 2008. godine i globalne recesije.

S obzirom da sada više od polovine svjetske populacije živi u gradovima, masovni transport i obnovljiva energija postaju sve važniji, kao i rast novih industrija i informaciono-komunikacionih tehnologija.

Ostvarivanje ekonomskog rasta i održivog razvoja zahtijeva da hitno smanjimo naš ekološki otisak promjenom načina proizvodnje i potrošnje dobara i resursa.

Globalno zagrijavanje uzrokuje dugotrajne promjene u našem klimatskom sistemu, što prijeti nepovratnim posljedicama ukoliko ne reagujemo.
